MAGAZINE TO FOCUS ON HIGH TECH CAREERS

The CEO Group of Ottawa will launch a monthly magazine in March that will focus on high tech careers and career-related topics in the Canadian technology industry. Called HTC, the publication will include news articles and regular features such as employment trends, training and development, commentary and an op-ed page. Theme-oriented features will have up to three stories dedicated to a particular topic such as Year 2000, project management, data warehousing/mining and outsourcing. A column called Industry Report will focus on specific vertical markets such as finance/banking, wireless, consulting and government. HTC will be published in a tabloid format and be available through controlled circulation, subscription and at career shows. It will have a circulation of 100,000. The CEO Group organizes career exchanges for Canada's hi tech industry.
