MOLSON WAITS FOR APPROVAL ON LESBIAN KISS AD

Molson Breweries of Toronto is still awaiting approval from the Ontario Liquor Board to air a TV commercial promoting which features a lesbian kiss. The spot promotes its Molson Dry brand. The brewer decided to create the ad because it says it wants to target a diverse, urban group that is open-minded, marketing public relations manager Diana Rose told Adnews yesterday. In the spot, a guy sees a girl in the bar and buys her a beer. He starts to approach her, but another woman walks up to her and kisses her. He then walks back to the bar and buys a beer for the other woman as well. The ad was created by BBDO Canada of Toronto.
