By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based charitable organization LetsStopAIDS has begun a contest promotion called “The Winning Seed.” The contest encourages youth to submit innovative ideas for ending HIV/AIDS. Submissions will be accepted until March 20 at <http://www.thewinningseed.ca>. The winner will receive $1,000 in funding for their advocacy idea, as well as $500 in prize money, consultations with advocacy experts and other support.
“‘The Winning Seed’ contest invites youth to submit thoughtful and creative ideas that can be turned into impactful projects,” said Shamin Mohamed, president of LetsStopAIDS. “Proposals can vary from starting a youth club to designing an app, launching an awareness campaign to advocating through music and the arts. Your innovative proposal may be the next big thing that changes how people think about and respond to HIV. ‘The Winning Seed’ is an opportunity for youth to learn and develop project management and leadership skills while contributing positively to their community.”
