Toronto Creatives donates to Fred Victor

Toronto-based digital agency Toronto Creatives has donated $10,000 to the Fred Victor organization to support its efforts to decrease homelessness in that city. According to the agency, the donation is also intended to “inspire larger companies to give back more in 2021.” The agency made the donation after working for the charity last year to convert two of its annual fundraisers to digital events in response to the COVID-19  pandemic. Fred Victor works to increase access to affordable and transitional housing, food services, job training, counseling, shelters and emergency sites, mental health support and other support programs.

“It’s cold out, and we all know how harsh Canadian winters can get, even in Toronto,” said Toronto Creatives president and creative director Benjamin Gibson. “The tents in the parks, the signs begging for help, for housing it's hard to see. We made some money on this project as well as other projects this year and even though the year was tough, we had it easier than some. When we thought about how grateful we were for that, we wanted to give something back. Fred Victor does awesome work, so we went with something we could feel good about that would have a direct impact.”
