Canadian Teachers' Federation begins contest

The Ottawa-based Canadian Teachers’ Federation has begun a contest promotion called “Étudier en enseignement, ça me parle,” intended to attract young people to a career in Francophone teaching. The contest is open to students enrolled in a French-language Faculty of Education in Canada, outside Quebec. Participants can enter online at <https://www.cameparle.ca/a-ton-tour> until March 19. Five winners will receive scholarships of $5,000 each. The contest is part of the organization’s ongoing “Enseigner, ça me parle” national campaign.

“Teaching is an extremely rewarding occupation,” said CTF president Shelley Morse. “By seizing the opportunity to join the teaching community, young people are also grasping the possibility of having a positive influence on future generations, in Canada and elsewhere. They will play a fundamental role in ensuring the vitality and renewal of our Francophone communities.”
