BC Blueberry Council readies Go Blue BC promotion

The BC Blueberry Council of Abbotsford, BC will begin an online promotion called “Go Blue BC” on July 15 to coincide with Blueberry Day in the province. The promotion will consist of a virtual event at <http://www.gobluebc.ca> and will include how-to videos, interviews with chefs and growers, recipes, family activity suggestions and a contest component. Residents of BC can enter a draw for $1,000 in gift cards and blueberry-themed prize packages sponsored by restaurant chains White Spot and Triple O’s. Participating restaurants will also offer limited-time blueberry-themed menu items during the promotion. The contest will run until Aug. 3. The website will also offer information about where local blueberries can be picked, pandemic restrictions permitting.
