GRISTANI'S GETS OUTSIDE HELP FOR ADVERTISING

BAM Creative Directions of Toronto landed the Grisanti's Restaurants of Canada account. The Toronto-based full-service Italian restaurant chain has six Ontario locations: four in the Toronto area, one in Whitby and one in Barrie. BAM was chosen in a competition with four other agencies "because we feel the chemistry is right and that they have the talent and marketing savvy to meet our specific needs," operations director John Luvison says in a release. Other short listed agencies were: First Avenue and Cybercom, both of Toronto, as well as RD Marketing and RC International, both of Richmond Hill, Ont. The annual budget for the account is $457,000. Grisanti's advertising was previously handled in-house. This is the third win for BAM recently. Last December it won the Action Force's business and in November, the agency won the Ontario Science Centre account.
