Pigeon Brands, Metro begin design contest

Pigeon Brands of Toronto has begun a contest promotion in collaboration with grocery store chain Metro. The promotion take the form of a competition between design students from the Ontario College of Art and Design University and Collège Salette. Participants will compete to create new package designs for Metro’s in-house brand Irresistibles. Judging will be based on concept, design, creativity, market understanding and overall presentation. The winners will receive paid internships at the Toronto and Montreal office of Pigeon.

“We’re excited to meet the design leaders of the future, while giving them the chance to gain real-world experience on a project for a massive Canadian retailer,” said Thomas Pigeon, CEO of Pigeon Brands. “We want to foster creative minds and help students get familiar with the industry they’re working towards being a part of.”
