IA Financial Group debuts digital assistant

Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services of Quebec City has introduced a new digital initiative called the "IA Virtual Assistant." Through this system, Consumers using Google Assistant on a smartphone, tablet or smart speaker can use voice commands to receive financial advice. It can also locate nearby healthcare providers that are eligible for the company's insurance.
"As a complement to the work done by advisors on the ground, the IA Virtual Assistant is a source of useful information to help clients make the best choices for their financial wellbeing and that of their family," said Renée Laflamme, executive vice-president of individual insurance, savings and retirement at the company. "For example, when there's an important event, like a new child, the IA Virtual Assistant reminds new parents of the importance of reviewing their insurance coverage. It can also show the advantages of contributing to a registered education savings plan to pay for their child's education and even suggest the professional services of a financial advisor when needed."
