Aero Montreal begins Rise to the Future campaign

Aéro Montréal has begun a new campaign called "Rise to the Future" intended to promote careers in the aerospace industry. The online and social media initiative is being conducted in association with the Comité sectoriel de main-d'œuvre en aérospatiale, the École des métiers de l'aérospatiale de Montréal and the École nationale d'aérotechnique. The effort includes a website at <http://www.aerofuture.ca> which provides information about the need of Quebec-based aerospace companies for skilled workers. It features career profiles, job postings and listings of training programs, as well as information about technologies of interest to future workers. The campaign is aimed at students and workers thinking of a career change.

"This campaign's goal is to respond to the labour shortage being experienced by the entire industry by highlighting the many career opportunities offered by this rapidly growing high-tech sector in Quebec," said Suzanne Benoît, president of Aéro Montréal. "With nearly 30,000 jobs to be filled by 2027, aerospace companies need more skilled workers than ever before to remain competitive and stay abreast of the latest technological innovations."
