Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance debuts new website

The Ottawa-based Canadian Natural Gas Vehicle Alliance has launched a new website at <http://www.cngva.org> intended to encourage the use of natural gas-powered fleet vehicles by Canadian transportation companies. The site provides information about the benefits of natural gas as a fuel for medium and heavy-duty trucks, as well as transit, refuse, marine, rail and off-road vehicles. This includes environmental benefits, performance, driving range, fuel savings, case studies and safe handling. The new site represents a consolidation of the organization's previous CNGVA.org and GoWithNaturalGas.ca sites.
"Whether for heavy trucks, buses, ships or rail locomotives, natural gas can reduce fleet fuel costs and lower emissions," said Bruce Winchester executive director of the alliance. "CNGVA's new website builds on the valuable collaborative work between CNGVA, industry, and Natural Resources Canada to raise awareness about the benefits of this emerging fuel option for vehicles. It also will provide the necessary information for fleets thinking of converting."
