Age-Well, Hacking Health ready Ideathon promotion

Two non-profit organizations, Age-Well and Hacking Health, have begun a contest promotion intended to generate ideas for new technology or services that will support healthy aging. The promotion, called the "Age-Well Hacking Health National Ideathon," will consist of special events in Toronto, Montreal, Halifax and Vancouver. One winning project from each event will proceed to a final round to be held in Winnipeg in October. Winners will receive prizes totaling $75,000 in cash and services. Potential participants can enter at <http://www.agewell-nce.ca/events>. Sponsors of the competition include Bereskin & Parr, the Impact Centre and Aging2.0 Toronto.
"Age-Well and Hacking Health share an interest in bringing people together to develop creative solutions to health-related challenges," said Alex Mihailidis, scientific director at Age-Well. "By partnering to host this competition, we will trigger more innovation and much-needed solutions to support the independence, health and quality of life of older people, and to support their caregivers."
