Cummins & Partners moves into Canada

Australian advertising and marketing agency Cummins & Partners has expanded into Canada with a new office in Toronto. The move follows the company's recent launch in the US and the opening of a New York office. Cummins & Partners Canada's initial client list includes Heidi Klum Intimates, Perrier-Jouët and VDKA6100. Its first work will be released at the end of the month.

Cummins & Partners Canada will be headed by Dave Carey as president. He was previously client service partner at Union Creative and senior vice-president of client services at Lowe Roche. He is joined by executive creative director Andrew Shortt, formerly a founding partner at HQvB. Steve Hajula has joined the firm as director of design and user experience, along with senior account director Yash Keough, creative engineer Marcus Veres and junior art director Duc Banh.

"Cummins & Partners Canada will occupy a pretty unique space in the Canadian market," said Carey. "It's a global agency that's still independently owned. There aren't a lot of other agencies in Canada that can make that claim."
