St-Hubert releases Chicken Run game

Montreal-based restaurant chain Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert has released a promotional video game for mobile devices. The game, called "Chicken Run," is available for Android and Apple devices. Players drive a St-Hubert delivery car through five cities in Quebec and Ontario while avoiding obstacles. Reaching each city will give players a chance to instantly win discounts on St-Hubert products. In addition, restaurant customers can collect cards that will add bonuses to their in-game cars.

"People can take mobile games anywhere with them, even to the restaurant," said Jonathan Gendreau, senior interactive marketing advisor at St-Hubert. "We wanted to rethink our customers' experience with the St-Hubert brand by providing a game they can take anywhere, whether it's for some entertainment at the restaurant or while they're waiting for their delivery order. It is important for us to evolve with our customers' interests and provide a dining experience that stands out. This initiative integrates nicely with the family concept found in our establishments."

A separate version of the game, aimed at children under the age of 14, has been released with no promotional branding or link to the company. According to St-Hubert, it is the first Quebec restaurant chain to launch a mobile game.
