GREYHOUND AND AIRPORT IN FIGHT OVER POSTER

Kamloops Airport Authority and Greyhound bus lines have been battling it out over a poster that tells airline travellers it's cheaper to take the bus. The poster, created by Palmer Jarvis Communications of Vancouver, was to be displayed at Kamloops airport after Greyhound made a deal with the authority to advertise at the airport. But when the the authority saw the impertinent ad Greyhound wanted to run, it said no. And it won't pay back the $2000 paid up front to have the ad run for six months. The poster states in large letters, "Save money on your next flight. Don't fly." It quotes a round-trip bus ticket price from Kamloops to Vancouver of $77.20. It states that one child under 16 travels free with an adult. The authority has agreed to display a modified ad, and will put it up for the six months originally agreed upon.
