Website roundup

The Montreal-based Federation of Quebec Maple Syrup Producers will debut a new website in March at Ilovemaple.ca. At the same time, the organization will also introduce a redesigned version of its Siropcool.com site. The new site contains consumer information about maple syrup, including recipes, advice and health research, as well as the history and production processes of the industry. The Siropcool site contains information on interest to students and educators. "When we created Sucrezmieux.ca in 2005, we wanted to cast maple in a new light with delicious recipes, tips and tricks for cooking with maple products and information for consumers about the vitamins and nutrients in maple," said Geneviève Béland, director of promotion and market development for the federation. "With the excellent traffic the site has seen and the growing popularity of maple among Quebecers, the federation wanted to expand the site to include all the many reasons to love maple. That's why we've changed the name of the site to Ilovemaple.ca."
