Kingstar Direct buys Phoenix Productions

Toronto-based direct response agency Kingstar Direct has acquired Phoenix Productions, a producer of infomercials and short-form direct response television ads also based in Toronto. No financial details are available. Phoenix Productions president Duane Andrews has joined Kingstar as director of creative services. "In today's fast-paced and constantly evolving world of communications and marketing, short form has become an essential part of an overall direct response strategy," said Ed Crain, president and CEO of Kingstar Direct. "Duane and his team represent the absolute authority on short-form creativity for TV and a new age of expanding platforms and content."
