New CEO, COO at Saatchi & Saatchi Canada

Toronto-based Saatchi & Saatchi Canada has appointed Brett Channer chief executive officer and executive creative director. Channer joined the agency in 2004 as executive vice-president and creative director. Prior to that, he was at J. Walter Thompson. Channer has also held various positions at Young & Rubicam, Gee Jeffery & Partners, TBWA Chiat Day and DMBB. Dick Olsen, the agency's outgoing president and CEO, will "pursue other opportunities within the Saatchi network" in New York, according to the company. In addition, Johann Xavier has been appointed chief operating officer of Saatchi & Saatchi Canada. Xavier was previously the agency's chief financial officer. He arrived at the firm 10 years ago from McKim Advertising.
