Tim Hortons breaks cinnamon roll campaign
By Adnews Staff
Toronto-based Tim Hortons has begun a new campaign for its cinnamon rolls. The campaign, consisting of television, radio and in-store ads, was created by Enterprise Advertising of Toronto. The 30-second television commercial depicts a man about to leave the house on his way to work. His wife puts a bag containing a cinnamon roll on the kitchen counter. As the man bites the roll, romantic music begins to play. The ad ends sometime later, when the wife re-enters the kitchen and asks the man why he isn't at work. Hurriedly, the man picks up his briefcase and departs. In the radio ad, a man at an airport chooses to miss his flight rather than give up the cinnamon roll he is eating, even though a voice on the airport's public address system is personally urging him to get on the plane. Separate French-language creative has been developed by Enterprise/JWT of Montreal. The national campaign will run until Sept. 4.
