Palm Arnold Communication won the Grand Prize in the Billboard category at the 2005 Prix Média Awards yesterday. The award was for the agency's Volkswagen Turbo Diesel campaign. LXB Communication-Marketing received three Silver Summits at the recent 2005 Summit Creative Awards. One award was in the Trade Magazine/Newspaper Campaign category for a Prevacid campaign called "Fast and Versatile" for Abbott Laboratories. The other two awards were for Telus Québec campaigns. One was in the Television category for a Telus commercial. The second was for a Christmas campaign for the GlobeTrotter Internet service in the category Local Mixed Media Consumer Campaign. Torchia Communications received a Merit Award at the ninth Ovation Gala in Montreal last week, presented by the International Association of Business Communicators. The award, in the External Communications category, was for the agency's communications plan for the opening of the W Hotel in Montreal.
