Tennis Canada signs National Bank as sponsor

National Bank has signed a sponsorship deal with Tennis Canada to become the presenting sponsor of the Rogers Cup men's and women's tennis tournaments in Montreal until 2009. The bank will also sponsor six regional tournaments for young players in the Montreal area each year. The bank will also participate in a tour of the province in collaboration with Tennis Québec. Additionally, the company will support a program called National Bank Tennis Plus for municipalities, and various indoor and outdoor tennis clubs in Quebec. "This constitutes the single biggest direct contribution to tennis development from a sponsor ever to occur in Canada," said Jack Graham, board chair of Tennis Canada. "Support from a company such as National Bank demonstrates the vitality of our sport in Quebec; a model for the rest of the country." National Bank has sponsored tennis tournaments in Quebec City and Granby for several years.
