Enmax Energy begins wind power outdoor campaign
By Adnews Staff
Enmax Energy of Calgary began an out-of-home campaign in that city this month using replica wind turbines on billboards. The brand awareness and differentiation campaign is intended to promote the company's commitment to wind power in Alberta. According to Enmax, the company is the first energy retailer in North America to include a percentage of wind energy in its residential and small business price plans. The creative was developed by Venture Communications of Calgary. The motorized rotating blades of the turbines are made in the shape of green leaves. The ads use the tagline, "Breathe easier. Save money and the earth." The campaign, which also includes newspaper ads and direct mailings to Alberta small business, supports a retail promotion for Enmax's Energy Price Protection Plans. The billboards are located at McKnight Blvd. and 13th Street NE and at Barlow Trail and 50th Avenue SE. They will be moved to new locations in Calgary in February.
