VANCOUVER AQUARIUM BEGINS CAMPAIGN

DDB Canada has created a campaign intended to encourage residents and tourists to visit the Vancouver Aquarium Science Centre. The television, cinema and outdoor transit ads show how close visitors can get to the animals at the aquarium. The TV and cinema commercial depicts scuba divers moving through the galleries of the aquarium as though swimming. The transit ad depicts a group of people underwater in a plastic bag, looking at a school of fish. The campaign uses the tagline, "Vancouver Aquarium. It's another world." The outdoor advertising is already running. The cinema ad and advertising on the Tourist Information Network in Vancouver will break this week. Television advertising will begin in the fall.
