INDIGO HOLDS JUNIOR BOOKLOVERS CONTEST

Toronto-based Indigo Books & Music has begun a contest called "Junior Booklovers," open to children 10 to 16 years of age. To enter, participants must read a book from na Indigo reading guide and then submit a review of it by Aug. 17. A panel of judges will select five winners in September. Each winner will receive a $1,000 gift card from Indigo and a trip for two to Toronto. The winners will also receive their own "My Picks" section on the Indigo Web site at <http://www.chapters.indigo.ca> and in their local stores. Also, a donation of books will be made to each winner's school. The winners will also gets positions on the retailer's Junior Advisory Board. The contest is being promoted with signage and in-store materials created in-house and with public relations from Edelman of Toronto. Sympatico.msn.ca, which is also involved in the contest, will promote the initiative on its Kidz channel and through email to MSN Messenger and Hotmail users.
