SONY BEGINS DIGITAL CAMERA PROMOTION

Toronto-based Sony of Canada began a promotion yesterday by which customers who purchase a VAIO PCGV-V200G desktop personal computer will receive a Cyber-shot DSC-P52 digital camera for free. The initiative will run until May 9 at participating authorized Sony dealers nationally. A national print advertising campaign is supporting the offer. Newspaper advertising, created in-house, will run for the duration of the effort. Media buying was done by M2 Universal. Public relations are being handled by Strategic Ampersand.
