MCILROY AND KING PICKS UP TWO ACCOUNTS

Crazy Plates Inc. has hired Toronto-based media company McIlroy & King Communications. Crazy Plates is a food company based in Waterloo, ON. It was founded by David Chilton, author of "The Wealthy Barber", and Greta and Janet Podleski, authors of the "Looneyspoons" and "Crazy Plates" cookbooks. McIlroy and King will handle media planning and buying for the company. Crazy Plates' frozen meal kits are distributed through Loblaws and its banner stores. Also, Chattem (Canada) Inc. of Mississauga has appointed McIlroy and King its media planning and buying agency of record. The over-the-counter health and beauty aid company produces brands including Gold Bond Lotion and Powder, PHisoderm, Dexatrim, Sun-In, Ultra Swim and Aspercreme. Previously Chattem's Canadian media planning and buying activities were handled in-house, by the company's creative agencies and by its parent company Chattem Inc. in the U.S. McIlroy and King got both accounts through referrals.
