CANWEST PICKS HEAD OF PROMOTION FOR CANADIAN MEDIA

CanWest Global Communications Corp. has appointed Lynne Munro national vice-president of promotion. Effective immediately, she will lead ongoing promotional activities surrounding the company's integration and convergence campaigns. These activities are intended to increase the audience and readership of CanWest's Canadian media operations, which include the National Post and Southam's newspapers, the Global and CH Television networks, various specialty channels and the canada.com Internet properties. Previously Munro was vice-president of promotion for the National Post and Southam Newspapers. As part of her new job she will continue to direct the promotion of the National Post.
