INTERPUBLIC GROUP RESTRUCTURES

New York-based Interpublic Group of Companies has adopted a new organization structure following the acquisition of True North Communications earlier this year. The company will now have four global operating divisions: McCann-Erickson Worldgroup, FCB Group, the Advanced Marketing Services group and The Partnership, a new marketing division. Also, Weber Shandwick Worldwide will be merged with True North's BSMG Worldwide. The new public relations firm will operate as Weber Shandwick. According to Interpublic, the reorganization provides its clients with a wider, more interconnected array of marketing capabilities.
