MAPLE LEAF PROMOTES PRIME NATURALLY CHICKEN
By Adnews Staff
Maple Leaf Poultry's new Prime Naturally chicken is rolling out to major grocery stores in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces this week, backed by a television campaign from Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising of Toronto. Sold in a variety of boneless and bone cuts, Prime Naturally chickens are fed a diet of vegetable-grain, vitamins and minerals with no animal by-products or animal fats. The 30-second spot, airing on CTV, CHCH, Global, MITV, TVA and CFCF depicts a pair of chickens being interviewed to become Prime Chickens. The interviewer says the benefits of the job are good hours and NutriPrime feed. Television advertising is being accompanied by POS materials including stickers, posters and shelf strips. Prime Naturally chicken parts will also be available with seasonings such as Dijon Mustard & Herb, Santa Fe and Caesar. Prime Naturally will also be distributed in Costco stores beginning July 16. Maple Leaf Poultry is an independent operating company of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. Public relations for Maple Leaf Foods are handled by Fleishman-Hillard Canada.
