ROGERS NEW WOMEN'S SITE GETS READY TO SPRING INTO ACTION

Rogers iMedia will launch its new women's Web site, Springboard.ca, Feb. 26. The site will target women 25 to 49 years, offering information and resources as well as "inspiration" to handle hectic lifestyles. Mothers with children at home, single women and women who were recently married will initially find channels on wellness and money. Additional areas including food, parenting and a channel called living well, will follow in the next few months. Ogilvy & Mather of Toronto, which was awarded the Web site launch assignment last month, is in the process of developing advertising to promote the site. Plans include a $3 million advertising and marketing budget, off-line and online elements, contests and promotions. Public relations for Springboard.ca are being handled by Apex Public Relations of Toronto. A teaser site is currently available at <http://www.springboard.ca>.
