PHARMACIA CONSOLIDATES MEDIA ACCOUNT WITH TROUTBECK CHERNOFF

Pharmacia Canada, based in Mississauga, Ontario, has consolidated its $4 million to $5 million medical media planning and buying account with troutbeck chernoff of Toronto. The appointment follows a multi-agency review for all Pharmacia brands in Canada. Pharmacia was created when Pharmacia & Upjohn merged with Monsanto Company earlier this year. The merged company's product portfolio consists of 17 brands including Celebrex, a rheumatology drug. Troutbeck chernoff was the incumbent media agency for Monsanto. Pharmacia & Upjohn previously worked with a number of media agencies including M2 Universal, which also participated in the review. The AOR appointment is effective immediately.
