Think Turkey, Bowl Canada ready Turkey Bowl

Think Turkey, an industry organization that promotes the consumption of turkey, and Bowl Canada, an industry organization that promotes the sport of bowling, are preparing a joint promotion called “Turkey Bowl.” From Feb. 18 to 20, consumers can visit a participating bowling centre and attempt to bowl three strikes in a row, known in the sport as a “turkey.” The first 250 consumers to do so and submit a photograph of the scoreboard by social media will receive a $50 Visa gift card. Players can also enter at <http://www.thinkturkey.ca/turkeybowl>. All players who sign-up will be entered into a draw for one of ten $500 grocery gift cards to spend on a turkey dinner. Approximately 225 bowling centres will be participating in promotion nationally. Think Turkey is an initiative of Turkey Farmers of Canada and the Canadian Poultry and Egg Processors Council.

“We've seen a tremendous increase in bowling in recent years,” said Bob McKay, marketing chair at Bowl Canada. “In fact, we've broken revenue records at my centre since reopening after the pandemic, and most bowling centres across the country are reporting similar success. We're thrilled to partner with Think Turkey to share the spirit of bowling through this family-friendly challenge.”
